Hi8us North Project Overview

THELP:
(The Hi8us East Leeds Partnership), will see 264 young people work with industry professionals to make 18 films. The results will be shown at festivals and distributed through video magazines.

1 Message Received:
Drama about the complicated love-lives of girl friends in Barnsley. Commissioned by New Route projects.

CX Consult:
Film about young people in Leeds who are not in employment, education or training. Commissioned by Connexions West Yorkshire and the Archway Resource Centre.

Big Night In:
Series on the lives of young men and their partners in Barnsley, explored through video, music and animation. Partners include the Healthy Eating Campaign, Junction Project, Assault Events and SRB Detached Outreach Project.

Highwoods:
Half-hour docu-drama exploring how anti-social behaviour affects young people, families and the wider community on South Yorkshire’s Highwoods estate. Partners include Highwoods Community Base, Highwoods TARA, Dearne Valley MVs, South Yorkshire Police and Mexborough Community Partnership.

PH2:
A series of films about young men’s lives in a small community in Coventry.

Platform4:
Drama and web project made with 18 groups of young people living in children’s centres across Northamptonshire.
